CDL Class B License with School and Passenger Bus Endorsement -W19

Learn to drive a school bus and earn a Class B Commercial Drivers License with a school bus endorsement. This course uses competency-based curriculum from the Professional Truck Driving Institute of America (PTDIA) and meets the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) voluntary standards.
Successful completion of this course includes 42 hours of classroom instruction, 20 hours of range driving, and 10 hours of road driving. Range and road instruction will only feature school buses with automatic transmissions. This course prepares candidates to pass the State of Maine Class B/Bus Driver Licensing tests.
Qualifications: (1) Students age 21 or older are eligible for a Class B License with school bus endorsement; (2) Applicants must hold a valid Maine driver’s license and have a good driving record; (3) Vision correctable by lenses of at least 20/40. A vision screening will be provided at the first class; (4) Flexibility to schedule driving instruction on Saturdays and Sundays on the range/road.
January 7-29, 2019 – Monday through Thursday from 6-9pm
Begins January 12—Four hour blocks on Saturday or Sunday AM
Begins February 9—Scheduled individually (if written test passed)
Permit Test: Week of February 4
Expected Finish Date: Mid-March
Course Fee: $1,949 (Includes 2 permit tests and physical exam for employment.)
Payment: Full payment or approval of third party payment must be received prior to the first class.
